Join us now and point your career forward!Job SummaryThe Project Manager will manage construction, renovation, and other facilities projects, manage relationships with contractors and the client, maintain facility project budgets and schedules, and ensure all projects are delivered at or above established client and safety standards.Now, if you were to come on board as our Project Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Manage traditionally and virtually, new construction, renovations and refreshes of food service projects that have elevated client engagement.
- Prepare budgets, cost analyses, feasibility studies and project justifications to ensure proper decision making by senior management and the client
- Develop and manage project communications to ensure all key stakeholders are kept connected to project status, issues, risks and program needs.
- Ensures all legal requirements, building and health and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local, provincial and federal regulations are met before commencement of project.
- Build and maintain sound working relationships with project teams and contractors
- Coordinates and oversees activities to ensure project progresses on schedule, achieving planned milestones and within the pre-scribed budget
- Develop and manage job and construction schedules, timelines and milestones that meet stakeholder needs, to ensure all projects are executed in accordance with Clients standards and requirements
- Lead, manage and document project meetings
- Prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects in a high-pressure environment
- Track and manage costs to ensure work stays on budget, and 3rd party invoices are submitted in a timely and accurate fashion
- Ensure agreed HSE & quality control and reporting procedures are correctly and fully understood and implemented
- Manages overall project closeout including document maintenance, deficiencies, warranty work and reconcile all project costs

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as construction project manager in the retail, grocery or food service construction industry is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- In-depth understanding of building drawings, codes, site specifications, inspection process and construction health and safety.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members at all levels in the organization
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project. Experience in cloud based PM Solutions like e-Builder would be an asset.
