As a Project Manager, you will be tasked with managing construction projects and providing technical services. Responsibilities:

  • Supporting all aspects of construction work
  • Work on proposals for various contract models
  • Preparing estimates for quoted and tendered work
  • Managing schedules, materials and subcontractors
  • Aiding in job cost tracking
  • Preparing and submitting environmental management plans
  • Supporting the safety coordinator in completing daily and project specific safety requirements
  • Reporting on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
  • Providing technical services, including inspections, maintenance plans, as well as other design services when required
  • Writing technical reports
  • Communicating customer issues and devising ways for improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

Education and Experience:

  • Civil degree or diploma, or strong background in leadership construction management role
  • Two or more years of project management in dealing with municipal, provincial/government-based projects
  • Construction/carpentry experience is an asset, although not required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, scheduling and collaborating skills
  • Effectively communicate with trade contractors and technical/design team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and commitment to well-constructed projects
  • Class 5 license
