Job description: Job Description:Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their Calgary team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong commercial property accounting experience who can hit the ground running and support a busy portfolio with multiple regions and asset types.Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly accruals, amortizations, and journal entries
- CAM reconciliations and Operating Cost Recovery analysis
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Analyze leases and historical OCRs
- Work heavily in Excel for financial statements and reconciliation
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Requirements:Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of property accounting experience in a commercial setting
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
- Experience with Yardi is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Curious, organized, and able to work independently
- Available to start immediately
