Job description: Job Title Quality Assurance Automation EngineerPosition OverviewAs an experienced QA Automation engineer at Amadeus, you will play a crucial role in our software development lifecycle by working closely with team of QA testers and being a gate keeper in our release process to ensure high quality of our software application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts, to plan, design, review and execute comprehensive test strategies, focusing on automation testing.Key ResponsibilitiesPossess 6-8 years of experience in Automation Testing for a range of applications, including Client/Server, Web-based, and Cloud applications.Develop comprehensive end-to-end test plans and take ownership of software certification to ensure its quality before delivering it to our customers.Proficient in creating, modifying, and maintaining both new and existing Automation framework models.Perform a variety of testing tasks, including executing manual test cases, API and UI automated scripts, and exploratory testing for web and API-based applications, and accurately report test results.Log and meticulously track issues and bugs using our defect management system.Leverage automation techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.Collaborate in testing non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, and resiliency.Validate database changes by crafting SQL queries and execute Linux commands to facilitate deployments.Actively participate in Agile forums, including stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming, sprint demo, sprint retrospective, etc.Estimate, analyze, and effectively communicate work effort within the team.Collaborate closely with the product team and business analysts to gain a deep understanding of user needs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, BitBucket (SCM) + pipelines, Vault, IntelliJ, MySQL Workbench OR Data Grip, Postman, Jenkins, RestAssured, Splunk, Rancher, JMeter, Gatling.Strong knowledge of Java, XML, JSON, and SQL.Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure.The Ideal Candidate HasExperience in agile software testing methodologies.Previously worked in hospitality domainFamiliarity with SOAP, Jira, Rally is a plus.Experience working with people in different time zones.Working at Amadeus, you will find: A critical mission and purpose – At Amadeus, you will be powering the future of travel and pursuing a critical mission and extraordinary purpose.
