We recognize that our employees are the backbone of what we do and the important role they play in contributing to our success.To learn more about our company, please visit our .About the OpportunityWe’re looking for a Design Engineer/Technologist with a passion for agriculture to join our R&D team!In this role, you will:

  • Research, design and develop new equipment and make improvements to existing products
  • Develop computer models of new product components
  • Conduct thorough design analysis and refinement
  • Create drawings of new components for prototype fabrication
  • Communicate with vendors to specify and obtain outsourced components
  • Assist with prototype assembly and testing
  • Assist with concept development for new products and projects
  • Communicate with other teams (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Service, etc.) for new product integration
  • Communicate with dealers and customers for feedback and input on product
  • On occasion, travel to various test locations to obtain required developmental information
  • Ensure safe operation of systems

About YouThe successful candidate will have an engineering degree or diploma (mechanical or agricultural focus), along with a balance of practical experience and proven creativity! New grads will be considered.The following qualifications will be needed to successfully perform this role:

  • Agricultural industry experience is a strong asset, including knowledge of current agricultural practices and related technologies
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Experience with SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA packages
  • Experience with instrumentation and data collection
  • Understanding of metal fabrication and latest manufacturing techniques
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically, analytically and conceptually
  • Enjoy getting your hands dirty and work in an environment that supports being self-directed!
