Job description: QUALIFICATIONS

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
• Operating Room Nursing Certificate required
• Minimum of 1-year current O.R. experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Laser certification required
• Canadian Perioperative Nursing Certification an asset
• Current BCLS/HCP certification required
• Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families
• Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred
• Familiarity with HSM, OR and/or basic computer competencies
• Demonstrates ability to function effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrates ability to function in emergency and highly stressful situations
• Good attendance and work record is essential
• A resume regarding further education, special courses and experience should accompany the application
• Monday to Friday; days for Surgery Centre OR rotating shifts, weekends if required at the Charlton OR
