Location: Collingwood, ONJob Description We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Resident Support Worker to join our Supportive Rapid Rehousing (SRRP) for Seniors team. In this role, you will work directly with clients in our Rapid Rehousing program to help them achieve stability, independence, and permanent housing. You will provide a range of support services, including light case management, resource coordination, and life skills building. You will also be responsible for the daily operations within the building and supporting the residents’ activities of daily living such as general cleaning and laundry, meal preparation/supervision as needed, and stocking/ordering of supplies.Aide in the development and implementation of individualized service plans for clients, addressing their unique needs and goals.Monitor progress and recommend housing plan adjustments as necessary.Offer support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate challenges and assist in connecting them with other community supports as necessary.Encourage program compliance and participation in community activities.Conduct regular check ins of resident needs.Aide in connecting clients with community resources, including employment services, educational programs, healthcare, and financial assistance.Aide in the process of securing permanent housing by providing information on available housing options, helping with applications, and advocating on their behalf.Provide essential life skills support and training which include topics like budgeting, job search strategies, and effective communication.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.Work collaboratively with other team members, community organizations, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.Participate and contribute to the staff team through active participation in staff meetings, debriefing and program events.Attend supervision meetings, as appropriate, and meet regularly with supervisor to exchange pertinent information and receive supervision.Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within housing systems, community services, and with landlords as needed.Completion of required CPR and NVCI training and ongoing certification.Understanding of trauma-informed care and client-centered approaches.Familiarity with HIFIS is an asset.Flexible scheduling required.Perform other duties as assigned.We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Resident Support Worker to join our Supportive Rapid Rehousing (SRRP) for Seniors team. Qualifications: Education:Diploma or Certificate in Social Services, Human Services, or Personal Support Worker. Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education.Experience:1 -2 years of experience in social services, housing services, light touch case management, or a related field.
