  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective tenants to ensure high satisfaction and occupancy rates.
  • Market properties, conduct showings, assess applications, and execute lease agreements.
  • Secure leases by guiding tenants through paperwork and maintaining accurate records.

Property Maintenance & Inspections:

  • Conduct regular property inspections, documenting conditions with photos and reports.
  • Coordinate property preparations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring timely resolution of tenant concerns.
  • Manage maintenance requests, lease renewals, and delinquency issues in collaboration with vendors.

Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive property records, tenant files, and financial data to support accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare tenant welcome packages and ensure operational compliance during inspections.

Budgeting & Financial Management:

  • Assist with budgeting, monitor income/expenses, and ensure properties operate within budget.
  • Review financial reports to identify and explain discrepancies, ensuring timely invoice payments.

Marketing & Community Engagement:

  • Promote properties via advertising, social media, and networking to attract tenants.
  • Maintain a strong market presence and foster positive community relationships.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement strategic improvements to enhance property operations and tenant satisfaction.

Education:

  • Degree or certification in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field (asset)

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
  • Flexible schedule for evening and weekend showings, when required.
  • On-call availability for emergency situations.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in multi-family rental properties.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal housing laws, lease agreements, and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial reports required, and experience with Sage accounting software, considered an asset.
  • Experience with property management software, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • An ability to listen and respond to issues in a respectful manner maintaining the dignity of others.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Base Salary: $70,000-80,000 per year

  • Salary based on experience.

Work Hours:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
