Expression of InterestREPORTS TO: Manager, Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry/ISU and Cardiorespiratory – StratfordDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $39.07 to $56.00 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:
– Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioEXPERIENCE:
– Recent/related clinical experience (minimum two years) in Critical Care Nursing and Cardiac Care Nursing
– Recent/related courses, in-services in Critical Care Nursing and Cardiac Care NursingSKILLS AND ABILITIES:
– Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
– Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as a team member
– Ability to engage patient and family partners in patient education related to the
Critical Care setting
– Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
– Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applicationsREQUIRED SKILLS:
– Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course, or equivalent (current experience)
– Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)
– Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
– Pacemaker Management
– Ventilator Management
– Haemodynamic MonitoringPREFERRED SKILLS:
– Recognized Critical Care Certificate
