Charter flights are provided by the company from Calgary or Edmonton. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers!The positions are for our spring Outage in June working 11.5 hours per day (2 x 30 minutes breaks, 1 paid, 1 unpaid).Rope Access Technicians used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
- Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.
- Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on structures and equipment at heights using rope access techniques.
- Conduct rigging and rope systems for safe access and egress
- Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.
Minimum Requirements:
- IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification is required.
- Satisfactory Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
- Certified B-Pressure Welders, CWB Welders, Pipefitters, Insulators and Electricians are considered an asset.
- Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
- ESC Common Safety Orientation
- ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
- ESC Confined Space & Monitor
- Valid Driver’s License
