Job description: RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all activities related to the mandate, ensure the achievement of financial objectives and deadlines set by management.
- Execute monthly project status, submit monitoring reports and inform management of any deviations that may affect set objectives.
- Ensure the proper execution of the production process with reference to the company practices manual.
- Supervise the resources assigned to it for the execution of the mandate.
- Analyze all documents relating to the project, plans and specifications, schedule, etc.
- Assist the Estimating Department in negotiating contracts and/or change notices with subcontractors.
- Award contracts and/or purchase orders relating to the mandate.
- Chair site meetings and produce reports.
- Receive the progress assessment of the S/T work, prepare payment requests and transmit them for approval to professionals monthly.
- Initiate, coordinate and approve change requests and site directives before transmission to professionals.
- Receive, analyze, codify all invoices and update the “cost analysis” report throughout the project, monthly.
- Receive and codify construction site timesheets and transmit to accounting on a weekly basis.
- Plan the work, control the deficiencies and ensure their follow-up.
- Coordinate the handover of the premises to the owner, delivery of keys and replacement materials, obtaining the certificate of completion of works and collection of contractual deductions.
- Obtain the certificate of completion of works and collection of the contractual withholding tax.
- Follow company practice processes and participate in the continuous improvement of the company.
- Any other related tasks related to the job.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Ms Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good French, written and spoken (bilingual an asset)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in public projects, commercial and institutional buildings
