Job description: Seeking a senior account executive for our client, Ontario’s largest independently owned brokerage. This position involves overseeing and managing insurance contracts for construction projects, ensuring adequate coverage, negotiating contracts, and providing guidance to project teams on insurance matters.

• Strive to understand our clients and their operations to ensure complete coverage that meets their specific needs and project requirements.
• Have the ability to review construction contracts and insurance policies.
• Review, negotiate, and finalize insurance contracts, including Construction, Builders Risk, High and Low Rise, General Liability, Property Liability, Cyber, Professional Liability, D&O, Crime, Pollution, and other relevant policies, including contract language review.
• Create customized contract wordings to seamlessly integrate into our clients’ insurance programs.
• Provide risk management consultation, including analyzing insurance policy exclusions and limitations to identify potential coverage gaps and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
• Offer valuable consultation and support to internal staff and clients in relation to contractual insurance needs across various contracts.

• RIBO License required; CRM, CIP and/or CAIB certifications preferred
• Proven insurance contract management experience in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction insurance policies and risk management
• Excellent negotiation skills, proficiency in risk assessment, and compliance with insurance regulations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in relevant software applications
• – 7-10 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage, with 3-5 years in a senior or specialized role
