These responsibilities include month-end/year-end closing support, system/policy training for employees, accounts payable KPI maintenance/improvement such as payments processing timely/accurately, and Cash management support and GL/Tax related tasks if needed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle of accounts payable processing in timely manner and all accounts payable related tasks
  • Procurement management and support
  • Procurement and accounts payable KPI maintenance and improvement
  • Payments processing timely and accurately
  • Vendor Master maintain, monitoring and support
  • Concur management and Policy maintenance
  • Travel Expense management and Policy maintenance
  • System and Policy training for new and existing employees
  • Month-end/year-end closing support
  • Merchandising Duty processing, payment, and reconciliation
  • Intercompany accounts maintenance and balance confirmation and reconciliation
  • Debit note issuance to both external customer and intercompany customers
  • Cash management including store cash, offline refund, purchase cards etc.
  • Store support including new store opening
  • Tax return support including sales tax, income tax and tax audit etc.
  • GL accrual and tasks support
  • New system and project launch support
  • Liaise directly with internal and external to resolve problems, urgent or mishandled transactions
  • Analyze any issue of works, determine root causes, and implement long term solutions
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external
  • Provide backup for team members
  • Other duties as assigned/required

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Diploma/bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance and/or Business required
  • 3+ years of related working experience
  • Coupa and SAP experience an asset
  • CPA enrolled or working towards designation preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Able to identify unusual entries, discrepancies or problems and resolve independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate and work with internal local teams and external global teams
  • Excellent organization skills and time management with strong attention to detail
  • Maintains high standards of quality despite pressing deadlines
  • The ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team
  • The ability to keep functioning effectively when under pressure
  • Able to handle multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines
