I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.
Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions.I’m looking for a Senior Accountant for my client located downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode, 3 days remote and 2 days on-site.Your Responsabilities:
– Prepare month-end (income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow) for two companies
– Maintain financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
– Coordinate the work of an external bookkeeper
– Reconcile accounts and analyze monthly variances
– Participate in daily operational activities (reviewing invoices for applicable sales taxes (USA, EU VAT), cash application, accounts receivable follow-up and collections)
– Prepare the US sales tax remittances by state and record COGS invoices
– Adjust monthly journal entries for intercompany invoicing and deferred revenue.
– Contribute to the implementation of an ERP
– Manage special projects (analyzing and interpreting financial data)
– Participate in the implementation of financial policies and proceduresYour Profile:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
– 4 years of experience ideally in a multi-currency, multi-company setting
– CPA designation (an asset)
– Proficient in Sage 50 or other accounting software
– Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, using macros and Access (an asset)
– Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
