Doug Bristow, Senior Partner at Aplin, has partnered with our downtown Edmonton client to recruit for the permanent position of Senior Accountant.Reporting to the Controller, this is a varied role that will appeal to a problem solver who enjoys supporting a fast paced multi entity finance area.Benefits & Perks:

Responsibilities:
- Provide support for quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
- Assist in consolidation accounting
- Assist with month end close activities including reconciliations and government filings
- Support annual budgeting process
- Support board reporting including MD&A
- Prepare various internal reports
- Other ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications:
- Accounting designation is considered an asset – Canadian CPA or foreign designation
- Will support someone in CPA PEP program
- Working knowledge of ASPE and Canadian tax rules
- Public practice experience is considered an asset
- Experience with Great Plains and/or Caseware is considered an asset
- Process oriented, organized and timely
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
