Job description: Senior Accountant
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will provide financial information to the Director of Finance, including but not limited to, financial statements, analysis, reconciliations, and recommendations.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Complete Month End / Year End cut-off requirements including journal entries, accruals and adjustments
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Calculate bonus and commission payments
• Complete variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
• Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
• Provide financial analysis as required to management to drive decision-making
• Support team in financial matters
• Process improvement and documentation
• Special Projects and other duties as required

Your strengths include:

• University/College education, with a focus on Accounting.
• 3-5 years related experience is preferred
• Pursuing a CPA designation or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office required – specifically Microsoft Excel
