For finance professionals looking to make an impact in a technically complex and highly collaborative environment, this is the ideal next step.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Designated Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis. Your responsibilities will include:Financial Reporting & Compliance:
o Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
o Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
o Analyze variances and trends to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.Month-End & Year-End Close:
o Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
o Work closely with auditors and external stakeholders during financial audits.Process Improvement & System Optimization:
o Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems.
o Support system upgrades and ERP integrations as required to streamline financial operations.Team Collaboration & Leadership:
o Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
