Job description: Job Description:Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity at a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic, rapidly growing and innovative team in the Hamilton, Ontario area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Although this role is remote, there will be onsite requirements from time to time, and you must be willing to work out of the Hamilton office when needed.To be considered for this role, you must be a designated CPA or in the later stages of the CPA program. You must have experience either working in a US-based company or with an organization with a large US customer base. As well, you must have strong manufacturing industry experience, either directly or though audit experience (not compilation or review). Advanced Excel skills are also required.What you get to do every day:– Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process– Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests– Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives– Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors– Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary– Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting– Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)– Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP– Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliationsRequirements:– 5+ years of overall general accounting experience– Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment– Extensive experience working for a US-based company or an organization with extensive customers in the US– Manufacturing experience is required– Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines– ERP experience and advanced Excel skills– Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company– Prior work from public accounting with manufacturing companies with US customers is an asset– CPA designation or actively enrolled in the program (proof will be required before you are granted an interview)– High attention to detail– Strong analytical skills– Month end close experience including account reconciliations, intercompany and financial reporting– Transfer pricing experience– Strong budgeting and forecasting experience
Expected salary: $90000 – 105000 per year
