Job #4698- Are you looking for an independent role where you can take ownership of the full cycle of accounting for a small, growing company? Our client has experienced tremendous growth since the creation of their organization just two years ago. They are now looking for a senior accountant to work with them on a full-time basis handling everything from day-to-day journal entries to month-end reporting and coordinating with the external accountants. In this role, you will play an integral role in managing all financial transactions and providing financial analysis to support the decision-making process. Reporting to the owners, the main responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable and receivable and oversee the general ledger
• Prepare and submit payroll for a small team
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Prepare HST filing and any tax related activities
• Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis
• Assist external accountants with year-end
• Identify areas for process improvements to enhance efficiencies

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• CPA designation completed or in progress
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end processes
• Strong with Excel
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Definite Assets:

• Bilingualism (French/English)

What’s the Bottom Line:

• $75,000 – $85,000 annual salary
