Job description: Job DescriptionWe’re seeking skilled and ambitious CPA candidates for versatile Senior Accountant roles within public practice across Newfoundland. Ideal candidates will possess comprehensive accounting skills and thrive in a client-focused environment where high standards of professionalism and a collaborative work ethic are key qualities of success.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Client bookkeeping
• Preparing client payroll (including remittances, T2, ROE & T4)
• Providing assistance with corporate and personal income tax returns
• Preparation of working papers
• Data analysis and reporting
• Execution of audit processes for clients (testing and documentation management)
• Review financial systems and records for accuracy to assess and identify financial risks
• In charge of client files from start to finish
• Provide technical insights for audit engagements
• Identify financial risks and issues as appropriate
• Prepare, book and post all adjusting journal entries
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Currently enrolled in the CPA professional program of studies
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and/or Sage50
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Experience in assurance is an asset
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues
• Strong attention to detail in a deadline driven environment
• Innovative and outgoing with an interest in acquiring new skills and learning from others
• Positive and team oriented
