Job description: If you are a talented and experienced Senior Accountant, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our client with locations in both Edmonton and Calgary has been looking for someone for approximately six months.Benefits & Perks:

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with month-end close including:

• Preparing working papers
• Reconciling key balance sheet accounts
• Preparing meaningful variance analysis
• Preparing financial statements (and assisting with note disclosure at the quarter end)
• Assisting with the maintenance of fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Assisting with the forecasting process
• Other ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

• Relevant post-secondary education
• CPA designation preferred
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, sumif)
• ERP experience
• Inquisitive mindset and willingness to dig in and analyze
• Good communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
