Job description: Expiry date:2027-06-11Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to start on contract for a fast growing construction start-up client to take on full-cycle accounting and month-end duties. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone to work in a fast-paced and growing environment with lots of opportunity for growth. The contract is expected to last a minimum of 14 months, with the potential of going permanent as they grow.Responsibilities:As the Senior Accountant, you will work with a team at the corporate office while coordinating with multiple locations across North America to consolidate divisional information. You will prepare financial statements for the corporate office and the branches, maintain the monthly working papers for the financial statements, and prepare ad hoc reports for the CFO. This role will primarily be focused on the financial reporting, however, you will need to be able to jump into other areas of the accounting process as the need arises.Requirements:
- A CPA designation plus 4-5 years of progressive experience
- Public practice background, ideally working with manufacturing clients
- Experience in an environment with multiple entities/locations/etc.
- Strong analytical skills using Excel
- Strong interpersonal and exceptional communication skills
- Proven ability to think independently and solve problems
- Ability to develop and manage a dynamic business process in a fast paced environment
Remuneration:
- $40-$50/hr
