Our client located in Richmond BC are looking to hire an exceptional Senior Accountant to their tenured team. As the Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work from home and in the office!What you will be doing in this role:

  • Handling month end working papers such as fixed assets/fixed asset continuity schedules, depreciated schedules, variance analysis of AP, AR, & inventory, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing financial statements including balance sheet, cashflow statement, statement of earnings for 1 to 2 entities
  • Assisting with month end, quarter end procedures including preparation for financial for audits, management, and board of directors, and year end closing
  • Multi-currency bank reconciliation, preparing dividend payments, director payments, loan payments, currency repayments, daily exchange rate & month end revaluations
  • Preparing GST & HST returns
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Special projects as it relates to the entity they are supporting

Requirements:Your Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or related field.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Experience in an IFRS or manufacturing environment will be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP software are preferred.
  • Extraordinary ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical.
  • Forward-thinking experience in general accounting and ability to streamline processes.
  • Excellent eye for detail and dedication to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills to explain ideas to a variety of colleagues.
