Your future starts here.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:Join the team as a Regulatory Reporting Specialist and help shape the financial story of CPKC. You’ll collaborate across departments to prepare and review key external disclosures-like quarterly and annual financial statements-while navigating US GAAP and Canadian/US regulatory requirements. • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and regulatory filings under Canadian and US standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting principles and reconcile differences from US GAAP.
• Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and trace accounting transactions to source codes and cost objects.
• Partner with internal teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data.
• Support quarterly and annual statistical reporting, price index, cost of capital, and grain revenue calculations.
• Liaise with government agencies and monitor regulatory changes, assessing their impact.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and collaborate across departments to implement solutions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, related fields, or relevant experience; Accounting Designation is desirable
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, railroad related experience is desirable
• Ability to work Excel to manipulate large sets of data
• Application expertise (desirable): SAP, BW, BPC
