This is a newly created position based on growth. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is either a designated accountant (CPA) or currently pursuing their designation, and who is eager to contribute to the financial health and success of their company.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Analyze financial data to provide insightful recommendations to management
- Budget Management: Develop, maintain, and monitor the company’s budget. Identify variances between actual and budgeted figures and collaborate with department heads to implement corrective actions
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Cost Control & Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiencies
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller and other senior management to support strategic decision-making and provide financial insights
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements within the finance function, leveraging technology to streamline financial operations
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the annual audit process
About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:
- CPA designation or actively pursuing
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a tech company or related industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning software
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an asset
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment
About the Job
- Base salary ideally in the $85,000 – $95,000 range
