Job description: BettingJobs is working with an established iGaming crypto operator seeking to expand their US based team with a remote Senior Accountant who specialises in US Tax.Remote from US time zones only. Full time and permanent role. Well suited to those who enjoy working off their own initiate.Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of US Tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as staying abreast of and interpreting new tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee statutory filings for the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and tax advisors from accounting practices to ensure accurate and efficient tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems improvements.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in American tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of US tax laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to the iGaming industry.
  • Experience with tax planning, strategy development, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with iGaming-specific accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work.
