Closing Date: 09/12/2024Job SummaryReporting to the Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for taking a lead role in the City’s accounting and financial reporting processes. This includes preparing, analyzing and interpreting the City’s financial statements and the Provincial Financial Information Return, researching and advising staff on technical accounting issues, implementing new accounting standards, monitoring data quality into the City’s general ledger, supporting the preparation of the City’s Annual Financial and Sustainability Report, and supporting Finance-led improvement projects.Duties and Responsibilities
