Job description: SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Analyst, CPMO will participate in the development of the Corporate Project Management Office. This position will be an integral part of the administration of the enterprise standards, processes and reporting. As a trusted advisor, this position will provide guidance for all aspects of Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) process and provide the administration services within Project Server and SharePoint. This new area within Financial Planning and Payroll will evolve over time and this position will be critical to execution on continuous improvement.Position DetailsNon-union – This position is temporary full time for up to 18 months.Key AccountabilitiesEstablish partnerships with leaders to develop a thorough understanding of projects planned to execute on the corporate objectives.Through a business partner approach, proactively identifies and understands the business needs and challenges, providing guidance, expertise and direction on how to follow the Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) process.Maintains a strong focus on improving the EPPM process through continuous improvement, focused on impact on employees, key performance indicators and management reporting.Provide guidance to other departments in the Corporation in preparation and ongoing monitoring of the project board approved budgets as well as assisting with preparation of the project site within Project Server.Provide advisory services on demand management (intake for EPPM), project proposals and templates.Administer the change control process, including updates in the system per change and/or bulk load.Review change requests in the queue – determine where they go to complete workflow based on governance (i.e. GC Sponsor can approve or needs approval by Committee)Prepare complex calculations and analysis, supporting accounting valuations, and processes to support the Business Case.Develop, monitor and maintain complex data models for compliance with capital budgeting, business policies and procedures for in-year and multi-year analysis.Analyze systems and processes and implement changes to improve the integrity, reliability and usefulness of information from Project Server and E1.Coordinate with internal departments for management reporting and with external parties for mandatory reporting and/or queries/confirmations related to financial and other management reporting requirements.Co-ordinate and prepare agenda items for the Governance Committees.Prepare financial reporting for the project portfolio, subsidiaries, and governance categories for internal and external reporting.Provide monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.Training of new users and enhancements or process changes for existing users.Other related duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDegree in Business Administration or Commerce.Four (4) years of accounting and financial experience.A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation preferred.Ability to impact and influence employee engagement while building and maintaining effective relationships.Results oriented and strategic thinker with the ability to negotiate and manage complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism.Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be consideredApplication InstructionsPlease apply online with your cover letter and resume outlining your qualifications.For more information on this position, please contact Human Resources at 306-777-9091.Closing DateAugust 13, 2024Salary Range$71,483 – $100,065#LI-POST
