We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Vancouver. The Senior Construction Manager will oversee the progress of multiple system delivery for large projects in a timely and cost-effective way. We are looking for an experienced, reliable leader to handle the budget, organization, implementation, scheduling of a major project, and provide management guidance to our Superintendents across a portfolio of projects. Ideally, you have handled low voltage, security, and/or structured cabling projects worth $5 million or more. On any given day, you could be working on a brand-new casino or a hospital redevelopment. This position will not leave you wanting more and will challenge your abilities as a construction professional. Your ability to be creative in addressing complex issues and delivering solutions will serve you well to ensure success in this role.What you will be doing:Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion within scope and budget while maintaining the highest quality delivery for our clients.Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.Selects and manages the training of site teams, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance.Work with the Discipline/Technical lead to agree on manpower required and forecast and manage labour resources throughout the project.Plan and deliver all construction aspects of the projects, working with relevant parties to assist in the formation of a construction strategy.Foster strong business relationships with other departmental operations managers to build a pool of local manpower resources.Regularly updates clients, stakeholders and executives with reports on the construction progress of projects.Attend Walkthroughs, site coordination meetings as required.Provide mentorship to Superintendents and Lead technicians / forepeople assigned to major projects.Assist Project mangers in development of site mobilisation and demobilisation plans.Manage tools and equipment asset assignment and utilisation between Projects.Participate in risk identification and mitigation strategies for all aspects of construction.Acts as a resource for Pursuits which involve large and/or long duration construction components.Proactively assess risks and ensure compliance with Paladin’s health and safety requirementsMonitor adherence to established safety, infection control and risk mitigation protocols by contractors and organizational staff during project implementation and respond to inquiries as required.Develop and foster internal and external relationships to support talent acquisition.Develop and manage schedules, resource plans, procurement, project commissioning, risk mitigation strategies.Facilitate communication and decision-making among project team members, operations and other stakeholders.Perform other tasks as required.What you must have:Progressive leadership experience in a construction environment with experience managing projects worth $5 million or more.Experience managing low voltage, security, or structured cabling projects is preferredExperience working on healthcare or casino projects is considered a strong assetExperience in a similar capacity for an Electrical ContractorDemonstrated experience implementing a strong safety cultureExpert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standardsPost secondary education in engineering, architecture, construction management, or technology would be considered an assetTrades Qualified (electrical, low voltage & controls) preferredExcellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skillsCompetent in conflict and crisis managementStrong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sedona, and project softwareAble to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlinesValid Driver’s License with clean abstractSalary/Rate Range: $120,000 – $150,000For more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
