Job description: Our client seeks a Senior Controller to lead their financial operations and drive strategic growth. In this key role, you’ll manage the company’s financial health, oversee accounting functions, and supervise a talented team. Compensation & Hours:

• Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 / year. + Bonus
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Position Summary:

• Manage all accounting activities: general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable
• Oversee financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting
• Maintain internal controls per ASPE standards
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and present financial reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Analyze financial performance, recommending cost-saving improvements
• Act as the liaison for external audits
• Collaborate with Operations and Sales on costing, pricing, and margins
• Drive strategic finance projects, including ERP system enhancements
• Mentor and develop your finance team
• Travel for business as necessary

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting; CPA required
• Minimum 2-3 years in management or supervisory roles
• Advanced MS Office and Excel; experience with ERP systems is an asset
• Familiar with financial record-keeping, pension, and profit-sharing requirements
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, ASPE standards, and audit processes
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team toward meeting objectives
• Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
