Job description: Job Description:This is a 6 month contract for a company within financial services. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the full cycle accounting process. This position will ensure accurate and timely compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management to support the company’s business objectives.

• Manage the full cycle accounting process, including general ledger
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and ensure performed on timely basis and all reconciling items are resolved
• Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with full cycle accounting

Expected salary: $38 – 40 per hour
