Job description: Job Description:THE ROLE:Our client is seeking a highly skilled Sr Financial Accountant to join their team on a 15-month contract. This role will focus on full-cycle operational accounting, financial reporting, and complex transaction management for a large portfolio.Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including day-to-day accounting transactions
• Prepare and post complex journal entries, including investment transactions and tax provisions
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid accounts, and other balance sheet accounts
• Support internal reporting for shareholders

• CPA designation (Canadian preferred; international equivalents considered)
• Minimum 2 years post-designation accounting experience with broad exposure to full-cycle accounting
• Strong hands-on accounting skills with ability to manage day-to-day transactions
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables for organizing and analyzing data.
• Proficiency in preparing complex journal entries, including tax and investment-related transactions
• Strong reconciliation skills across various balance sheet accounts
• Experience supporting internal reporting for stakeholders or shareholders
