Reporting to the Finance Manager you will have exposure and responsibilities in the following areas:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliation analysis for WIP, Intercompany, Accruals.
• Conduct variance analysis
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare government filings (HST, Corporate Tax) and ensure all statutory requirements and tax liabilities are met.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting to ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met.

About the candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, pursuing CPA or completed.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a service-based business is an asset.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
