The City of Toronto (the City) is currently undergoing a Financial Systems Transformation Program (FSTP), which is a multi-year financial transformation initiative, enabled by modern technologies that will meet current and future business needs. This includes standardizing finance processes and oversight, internal control, reporting and compliance activities as well as modernizing our finance service operating model, and streamlining the underlying financial platform to ensure consistent access to timely financial information in an efficient and effective system.A significant component of the City’s FSTP is the implementation of SAP S4/Hana. Reporting to the Manager Financial Transformation, the Senior Financial App Systems Analyst will provide technical leadership and oversight to the City’s SAP S4/Hana implementation project. This role is critical to driving the technical and strategic direction of the project as it will be part of the team that is responsible for providing the technical support needed to execute on the organization’s system specific design and functionality requirements.The Senior Financial App Systems Analyst is also responsible for planning and coordinating the organization’s project related change management activities, including working with corporate partners to re-engineer existing operating processes to align them with new system functionality, prepare specialized work packages for City staff in support of new system modules and functionality, and working closely with the Program Director, Project Managers, and other corporate partners to provide post go-live support across the organization. This SAP leadership position will be relied upon to build and leverage strong partnerships with key corporate stakeholders and apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to deliver sound technical advice to complex system related matters, and to present related findings or recommendations to the project’s leadership team and other project related governance groups.Major Responsibilities Include:
