As they continue to expand their operations and internal infrastructure, they are seeking an experienced Senior Fixed Asset Accountant for a six-month contract, with the potential for further extensions based on performance and business needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high-caliber finance team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Position Overview:As the Senior Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company’s fixed asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in fixed asset accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounting and reporting for the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions, capitalizations, depreciation, and disposals
  • Calculate the monthly and annual depreciation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Support both internal and external audits, ensuring all fixed asset transactions are documented and comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the fixed asset accounting function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Coordinate and conduct asset verification processes and investigate/reconcile discrepancies
  • Work closely with procurement, IT, and operational teams to ensure accurate asset acquisition and disposal processes
  • Support and contribute to various special projects related to fixed asset accounting, such as system upgrades or new reporting initiatives

ABOUT YOU:You are a Fixed Assets Accountant with proven experience in financial data reconciliation and the ability to manipulate large data sets. Your prior experience with SAP validates your in-depth understanding of data management and manipulation. Your ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, coupled with your strong verbal and written communication skills, makes you a dependable and efficient team player. You will be supporting the existing team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reconciling data related to fixed assets.   • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a large, publicly traded corporation
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Ability to manipulate large volumes of data using Excel
  • Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, including depreciation methods, financial reporting, and accounting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex data sets and financial transactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and collaborate effectively across departments
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks
  • Ability to commit to a six-month contract with the potential for extension
