We’re enabling world-class customer, patient and clinician experience by leveraging industry-leading AI & digital healthcare capabilities to deliver the highest quality and standard of excellence in care.What you’ll doAs a Senior IT Project Manager on our newly formed HCE Digital Transformation Team, you will play a critical role in creating a center of excellence for delivering technology projects that transform and integrate our Healthcare Excellence operations through technology solutions. This role will provide IT project management expertise and delivery assurance across the portfolio with a focus on key technology projects such as systems and infrastructure modernization. You will collaborate closely with teams within HCE and TELUS Health, and partner with technology teams across TELUS including the Chief Information Office (CIO), Chief Product Office (CPO) and Health Data Office (HDO). This role will suit a collaborative and experienced candidate who is passionate about IT project management, excited about mentoring and supporting the development of technical project management skills and best practices within the team, is an excellent multi-tasker, and has clear communication skills.Here’s how:

  • Managing large and small IT projects as required
  • Managing project team and resources including planning, monitoring, and coordinating tasks
  • Overseeing scope, CRQs, risk management and delivery assurance of key IT projects, escalating issues early
  • Resource planning, overall forecast and allocation across multiple projects
  • Project reporting, including internally within HCE technology portfolio and across partner teams
  • Collaborating closely with partner PMs, leads and teams to deliver on cross-functional projects
  • Preparing presentations and documentation for, and participating in, governance meetings and executive updates
  • Establishing and advocating for HCE IT project management best practices while assuring compliance with TELUS PMO guidelines, tools and processes
  • Mentoring and developing IT project managers within the HCE Digital Transformation team

QualificationsYou’re the missing piece of the puzzle:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • A university degree in IT, Computer, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Expert at managing multiple, complex technical projects to completion on time, budget & scope
  • Experience delivering successful projects

$1M * Experience working with SI’s/3rd party implementation groups

  • Well versed with phases and principles of Project Management and agile methodology
  • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment for projects
  • Proficiency with JIRA
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial tracking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to develop and present clear, concise and tailored content for a range of audiences

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Post graduate degree (Master of Engineering or Business)
  • ITIL certification and ITSM Change Management experience
