Job description: Job Description:Our client, a growing company in the Upstream Oil & Gas (E& P) industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Accounting professional. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of a growing business. Please note this is an in-office/on-site position based in Downtown Calgary, not a remote position.The Senior Operations Accountant’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, AFE management, Capital Accounting and Operating entries, managing Freehold & Override Royalties, assisting with review of equalizations & adjustments from operated facilities, processing/reviewing annual equalizations & adjustments from partners, penalty & payout statements, supporting the Joint Venture accounting team with agreements related to revenues, royalties & costs from partners, assisting with partner dispute resolution, and reviewing approving Non-Operated JIB’s (joint interest billings). The Senior Operations Accountant will also be considered a go-to team member and mentor for the other Operations Accounting team members.Requirements:The successful candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in Upstream/E& P accounting including several years as an Operations Accountant and/or Joint Venture Accountant.
