Job description: Job Description:Our client is searching for a Senior Production Accountant to add to their growing team. The Senior Production Accountant will manage a senior desk with oil and gas assets including well sites and processing facilities. This position involves ensuring the accurate measurement, recording, and reporting of production volumes and revenues, while adhering to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include overseeing well test data, managing inventories, validating volumetric data, and interpreting contract agreements to maintain production accounting integrity. Collaboration with field operations is essential to verify data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the smooth flow of accurate information. Additionally, you will calculate royalties, taxes, and other financial obligations to ensure compliance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.Requirements:The successful Senior Production Accountant will have 7+ years of experience in oil and gas production accounting with progressive experience with complex facilities and assets and a CAPPA certification is an asset. Experience with both oil and gas plants is requires along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
