Job description: Senior Property AccountantOur client is searching for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing all accounting processes from day-to-day operations to month-end close, providing insight to leadership, and supporting decision-making across the division. A successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and trustworthiness of the financial reporting.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Take full ownership of the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of single-family properties
• Act as the primary accounting lead for the division, collaborating directly with operational leadership
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial data
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis
• Track property data and transactions
• Work cross-functionally with property managers, vendors, and tenants to maintain seamless accounting operations
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Your strengths include:

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in full-cycle property accounting, residential property accounting is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field – or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Buildium or similar property management software
• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and a drive for accuracy, integrity, and process ownership
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
