Individual will be expected to lead and collaborate with component teams across SW organization (including documentation tech writers) to provide at scale operations that include system provisioning, scheduling, utilization, pipeline deliveries, and methodologies for continuous integration and Continuous delivery.THE PERSON:Looking for a highly motivated hands-on doer with a strong development background and problem-solving mentality. Excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Excellent teamwork skills and capable of leading/working with a highly technical team with fast paced environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement good DevOps practices and maintain tools and infrastructure that enable teams to deliver high-quality software documentations to end customers.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure architects and be responsible for the defining-designing, delivering of the solutions & manage/support scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with Developers & Documentation technical writers to map out deliverables, track, expect the unexpected and most of all deliver to the commitments.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor system utilization, reliability, and map a route to resolving issues to maximize uptime.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth and efficient development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation: procedures, processes, work within current framework.
  • Define solid methods for upgrades/downgrades/provisioning.
  • Problem solving, driving to a resolution, as well looking at alternative routes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, Build Engineer, or Software Engineer with a DevOps flare, with the responsibility of creating and maintaining modern CI/CD tools.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in software development practices, such as working with Git, performing code reviews, paired programming, unit testing, UI & performance testing, and promotion of code to production environments.
  • Proven experience with languages: Python, Ansible, SQL, Bash, Shell/PowerShell
  • Expertise in both *nix (RHEL, Ubuntu etc ) and windows operating systems.
  • Clear understanding of containerization and practical use (such as Docker)
  • Utilization of DevOps practices such as Agile development, continuous feedback, automation tooling, and shift left.
  • Linux System administrator experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience with ‘ReadTheDocs’ or similar documentation hosting platform is an asset.
