They will be responsible for leading technology projects and able to take their software through the entire development lifecycle – 50% of role. Additionally, they will be required to support and update existing software – 50% of role. They will be expected to leverage their outside expertise and knowledge to help elevate current technology stack as well as remain thoughtful of current updates in the software development industry and apply them to software solutions.What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer?System and data analysis, architecture, and design/write technical and functional design specificationsDesign, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standardsCreate, maintain, and test business processes, web services and applicationsProvide day-to-day log/health checks of production environments and production supportProvide post implementation support via troubleshooting and performance tuningMaintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habitsOther duties as assignedWhat ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?University degree in a Technology discipline preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in applications development, maintenance and supportExperience with Enterprise Integration frameworks and ESB’sStrong Windows server admin experience along with IISFamiliarity with cloud technologiesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentKnowledge of AML Financial SystemsKnowledge of document/imaging systemsWhat technology skill sets are critical to the success of this role?Hands-on knowledge with the following technologies: Java, GRAILs, SOAP & RESTful Web Services, Jason, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, MS-SQL, Stored ProceduresExperience with Enterprise Integration frameworks and ESB’sExperience with Enterprise document management technologies (Documentum/OpenText)Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results.
