We develop and integrate video solutions, analytics features and sensor systems for more streamlined operations while bringing to life highly innovative end-to-end products, including AI-powered license plate detection and recognition. We are also responsible for the creation and continuous development of the Enterprise level solution based on Vehicle Intelligence for the MSI portfolio.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Enterprise LPR Team. As a key member of our Agile scrum team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing the end-to-end solution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between our LPR cameras, VMS, and Vehicle Intelligence platforms. Your expertise in object-oriented design methodologies, API concepts, and application development will be crucial in delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and test software applications using C#, C++, Java, and JavaScriptImplement object-oriented design methodologies, threading, and resource management to ensure efficient application performanceIntegrate LPR cameras with Video Management Systems (VMS) and Vehicle Intelligence platformsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility with various databases and toolsDevelop clean and maintainable code with high-quality standards and unit testsCommunicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment and successful project deliveryStay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to overcome challengesParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code qualityQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field4+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in C#, C++, Java, and JavaScriptStrong understanding of API concepts and OS-level virtualizationExperience with various database types and database toolsFamiliarity with developing On-Premise (non-cloud) applicationsPassion for developing clean and maintainable software with high-quality standards and unit testsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDesired Background/Knowledge/Skills:Experience with modular software application design and developmentProtobuf experience is a bonusWorking experience with modern full-stack CI/CD toolchain and test automation conceptsKnowledge of Installers and Linux development are definite assetsEnvironments/Tools:Visual Studios / GitBitbucketVirtualization using Docker and KubernetesNote: Candidate can reside anywhere in Canada.#LI-MP2
