Job Type: PermanentOur client, a top-tier consulting and public accounting firm, is seeking a senior staff accountant to join their team and support their rapid growth. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing compilation, review, and audit working papers, financial statements, and related note disclosures, as well as corporate tax returns and related government filings.Key Functions and Responsibilities:– Prepare compilation, review, and audit engagements.
– Prepare corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns.
– Generate tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.).
– Identify and resolve engagement issues.
– Direct field work and keep managers informed of engagement status.
– Demonstrate strong technical skills in audit, accounting, and tax.
– Show a strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
– Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
– Collaborate to provide integrated financial and business solutions that meet clients’ needsQualifications:– University degree in commerce or accounting.
– 2 to 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
– 2 years of audit and assurance experience, preferably with ASPE and NPO audits.
– CPA designation or successful completion of the CFE, with ongoing experience or awaiting CPA status (enrolled).
– Proficient in CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online, and Simply Accounting.
– Strong written and oral communication skills.
