Job description: Job DescriptionOur client, an established and growing accounting firm in Mount Pearl, NL, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team to provide exceptional accounting services to their diverse clientele. Leveraging the latest technology to enhance client experiences and deliver top-notch services, this dynamic firm opportunity is a permanent role ideal for an innovative and dedicated professional.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring strong relationships are maintained
- Planning, supervision, and review of various audit and assurance files
- Client support and advisory on budgeting, financial projections, and pro forma statements
- Oversee quality assurance standards and implement new standards as needed
- Coaching, training, and mentoring junior staff
- Business development participation such as networking, attending business functions, and community events
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- CPA designation or currently enrolled in the PEP Program
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, QuickBooks & QuickBooks Online
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in public practice
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to continually acquire new skills and instill these traits in CPA/work term students
- Interest in acquiring new skills
