Job description: Our client, an leading international energy company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join their dynamic Finance Team based in Calgary, Alberta.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of corporate tax matters, including income, carbon, indirect, and withholding taxes. The role involves preparing tax provisions, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations, and providing tax support to various business units within the company. Additionally, you will have the chance to engage with cross-border tax issues and develop your expertise in this area.In this role, you will collaborate with a small but impactful team, taking ownership of key tax functions such as preparing financial statement disclosures, managing Canadian tax filings, and supporting audits conducted by federal and provincial tax authorities. You will also work closely with third-party advisors and contribute to tax planning strategies.Your responsibilities will extend to preparing memos, supporting tax technical positions, and assisting with expatriate tax filings. As a valued member of the team, you will benefit from an environment that fosters continuous learning and development, with opportunities to advance within the company.Ideal candidates will possess a CPA designation and 10-12 years of experience in Canadian corporate tax. A strong understanding of tax accounting under IFRS, combined with excellent communication and analytical skills, is essential. Proficiency with tax software such as TaxPrep, alongside advanced Excel skills, will be key assets.This full-time hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays, while providing the opportunity to contribute to a company that values diversity, collaboration, and professional growth.Salary range: $120k – $135k plus bonus, benefits and health spending account.Please note: This is a growth role which means, you will have the opportunity to grow into the Manager position.
