They offer a stable team environment, with the opportunity to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on indirect tax and provide good work-life balance with the flexibility to work up to 2 days of remote work per week.Job Duties and Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing research of day-to-day income and indirect tax compliance issues in multiple provincial jurisdictions.

• Reviewing indirect tax returns prepared by the tax accountant.

• Assisting related entities with the reviewing of their year-end corporate tax provision.

• Preparation and filing of GST/HST/PST/QST monthly, assisting with CRA audits and responding to audit queries in a timely fashion.

• Preparation of half-year tax provisions.

• Remittance of monthly tax installments and withholding taxes to government authorities.

• Reviewing regulated GST/HST, and PST taxes along with reconciliation for all Canadian entities.

• Assisting in the analysis, preparation, and review of current and deferred income tax provisions under IFRS.

• Ensuring timely and accurate filing of all corporate income tax and GST returns.

• Preparing and reviewing tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals.

• Performing additional compliance projects as necessary, including withholding tax and foreign affiliate reporting.

• Liaising with tax authorities and providing tax audit support for the Group.

• Providing internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters and leading and coordinating ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally.

Requirements:Required Skills and Experience:

• CPA designation or near completion is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Tax, ideally with hands-on experience in indirect taxes.

• Industry experience in industry is strongly preferred but not required

• Familiarity with Tax software programs.

Remuneration:The salary range is $90,000 – $115,000 per annum, along with company-funded pension plan, flexibility benefits plan, 3 weeks vacation, and support for CPA dues and professional development.
