Job description: Site Coordinator/Safety CoordinatorDawson City, YTWildstone is a self-performing general contractor that provides a wide range of construction services across the Territories and Western Canada. We have been active in Dawson for the past 8 years and have completed projects such as the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Men’s Shelter, the Sawmill, and upgrades to the Robert Service School.At present, Wildstone is working on three exciting projects in Dawson: the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Elders Centre, the Yukon Housing 34-unit apartment building and the new Dawson Recreation Centre.We’re looking for a Site Coordinator/Safety Coordinator to join our site team in the Dawson City area.Responsibilities:

• Assist with Material/equipment receiving
• Order materials required onsite
• Assist with Quality Control checks onsite
• Assist Superintendent with daily construction duties
• Monitor and enforce Wildstone safety programs/policies on sites, including own forces and trade partners.
• Organize site safety meetings and toolbox discussions
• Conduct orientations with personnel and visitors as required
• Manage Site Safety paperwork and reporting

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role on a construction site an asset
• Experience with Salus or similar safety platform
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities
• Knowledge of workplace safety rules, policies and procedures
