Job description: We are currently seeking a “Software Engineer – Windows Developer” for a contract role with one of our clients in Cambridge, ON. Please apply you would be interested and available for it.Duration: 6+ MonthsRequired Skills:

• years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated applied software development experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate and document complex technical systems and decisions
• Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
• Highly organized and able to balance many concurrent assignments and negotiate with customer groups to follow tasks through to conclusion
• Ability to provide on-call support rotation for critical manufacturing applications and systems
• Willing to support daily and weekend activities as needed
• Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations
• .Net (C#, ASP.Net, WPF) or Web Services (SOAP, WCF, REST), Angular web development, MVC, MVP, MVVM, object-oriented design patterns, relational database knowledge (ie SQL Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in an Agile Software Development
• Demonstrated ability to support and follow the software development life cycle
• Well versed in the system design process including design of use cases, testing and implementation

“Nice to Have” Qualifications:

• Experience with Git or other related distributed version control software
• Experience with PLC or other embedded systems
• Experience with Kepware experience
• Experience with Factory Talk (Rockwell) experience
• Experience with Linux OS
