Job description: Our client is currently looking for a solution architect resource focusing on their transition to cloud analytics infrastructure supporting data flow, data management and reporting, reporting. The resource will assist with assessment of current and future state supporting implementation planning. Resource will report to the Director, Information and Analytic Services.Duties & Responsibilities
The successful Resource(s) will undertake the subsequent tasks and responsibilities, which include but
are not limited to analysis and documentation of the following:

• Demonstrated Knowledge and Experience of technical assessment of current state architecture,

documentation of risks and identification of opportunities to transition to cloud approaches,
o Development & implementation of recommendations on a phased approach to
transition to Cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure platform, data management
toolsets and analytic deployments;
o Developing and implementing data governance supporting policies, processes, and work
standards for a robust cloud analytics environment involving multiple stakeholders;
o Developing ETL/ELT architecture/workflows (cloud and on premise) and logical data
modelling, creating triggers, PowerShell scripts and parameter JSON files for deployment.
o Set-up of cloud analytic pipelines and building automation, promoting features to
production, and automating quality.

• Demonstrated Experience designing and implementing privacy and security measures for a data

and analytics stack (cloud and on premise).

• Ensures compliance with regulatory and cyber security requirements
• Aligns solutions along current architectural guidelines; challenges existing guidelines when better

solutions exists

• Collaborates with team members and subject matter experts

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
The individual must have the following Qualifications/Requirements including demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in the following areas:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or

related field;

• 2 years experience working with public sector organizations (Healthcare);
• 5 years experience in developing application, information and/or technology architectures;
• 5 Years experience participating in vendor assessments and creating solution options;
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with TOGAF, Zachman or comparable architecture frameworks; and
• Experience acting as a lead IT architect and leading teams.

Desired Qualifications/Requirements
The ideal Resource will have the following qualifications and have experience fulfilling the following job requirements.

• In-depth understanding of off the shelf software, common hardware and security
• Sound knowledge of large-scale application, computing, networking, middle ware and data

standards and best practice industry trends in their application.

• Proven experience in development of Architecture Strategies, specifically related to Cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, project management, and expert advice on the change management process (people, tools and technology).
• Demonstrated experience planning & implementing Data management architecture, Data Masking and Data Quality platforms, secure data provisioning using Role Based Access methodology, and Enterprise Data Governance (including Data Catalogue).
• Experience in developing a strategic Enterprise Information Architecture (Platform) to enable

the organization to achieve “continuing improvement” that accommodates emerging tools, technologies, standards, and methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience working with the following, with additional consideration for supporting users transitioning to, Microsoft Azure products including Data Factory, Synapse, Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, DataBricks.
• Demonstrated experience working with the following:

o Informatica (Enterprise Data Catalog, Big Data Management, Data Masking)
o Hadoop, Splunk, Role Based Access Methodology, MicroStrategy, MongoDB, Power BI.

• Microsoft certifications with Azure Data Platform are highly desired including:

o DataOps and DevOps; and,
o Cloud governance (monitoring, security and cost management).
