From propelling our emergency vehicles, heating recreation centers, and producing electricity for local schools, the projects we build are fundamental to the communities in which we live.Here’s how a(n) Spooler for our Fabrication Facility contributes to our team:Responsibilities

  • Understanding client engineering deliverables including piping isometrics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Producing shop drawings using various CAD applications, including Autodesk® AutoCAD®, SmartPlant® Spoolgen® and AcornPipe.

Qualifications

  • Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or post-secondary diploma or degree in drafting or engineering preferred.
  • 3 years of checking experience working in a pipe fabrication shop.
  • A strong understanding of ASME/API/CSA piping codes, engineering details & specifications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

This is an hourly contract starting immediately, with an approximate 6-month duration.
